Focused on enabling community and initiative-based cybersecurity efforts, this group
was created to exchange ideas and information, identify actionable approaches, facilitate
collaboration, and link stakeholders and initiative champions, in order to further the
cause of improving community cybersecurity preparedness through an integrated,
decentralized fabric of thought leaders, champions, and problem-solvers.
The cyber threat, like all other hazards, impacts at a local level. There are national
cybersecurity programs, and even international efforts; but, all emergency response is
local. There are insufficient efforts at present to organize grassroots efforts to
improve a community's cybersecurity posture, readiness, and emergency response. Multiple
efforts exist nationally and internationally to fashion public-private partnerships to
address cybersecurity needs. The Cyber-Resilient Community Dialogue endeavors to
facilitate further exchange, collaboration, and actionable approaches to promote a
bottom up approach to cybersecurity that addresses community needs.
